Katana in Koshirae.(NBTHK Hozon paper)(NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho paper)(consignment sale) Signature : Mumei (Fujiwara Takada) Hozon Mumei (Yoshimitsu) Tokubetsu Kicho (We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku) This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking. The blade was polished. Habaki: copper single habaki. Blade length: 68.5 cm or 26.96 inches. Sori :1.5cm or 0.59 inches. Mekugi: 2 Width at the hamachi: 2.85 cm or 1.12 inches. Width at the Kissaki: 1.98 cm or 0.77 inches. Kasane : 0.59 cm or 0.23 inches.
The weight of the sword 570 grams. Era : Edo period Lamei era. 1624. Shape: This sword is suriage mumei style wide with rather deep sori and long Kissaki. Jigane: The jigane is Mokueme and item hada mixed nice clear beautiful jigane. Hamon :Koniedeki choji midair and boshi is round shape. Special feature: The Takada group is a group of swordsmiths in Takatasho, Oita-gun, Bungo, and their ancestors are said to be Tomomitsu and Tomoyuki. From the subject, old Takada school are Samonji style or Sosyu den style Tomoyuki is called old Takada school between middle Muromachi to Meiou era and called Old Takada school and few swords were made.
Later shinto era, we call Hujiwara Takada because most of swords made signatory Hujiwara Tkada.Tomoyuki, Tadayuki, Teruyuki and Masayuki and so on. In Takada school Tomoyuki is called old Tomoyuki worked from middle Muromachi to Meiou era but he made few. After Shinto era, many Takada sword makers were working who were called Fujiwara Takade because these sword makers engraved Fujiwara Takada on their nakago. Koshirae : Saya:black roar saya. Tsuba: on shape iron tsuba , a dragon and waves are engraved the signature is not clear.

NBTHK old paper mentioned as Yoshimitsu（賀光） but NBTHK New Kantei was issued as Fujiwara Takada. I think The blade is Cyoji midair Hamon with deep sori but unfortunately, Bungo Takada is the right judge, Koshirae is not so gouges but a fine piece.
